Mason Jar Snow Globes 

Materials

Mason jar with a lid. Find them at local craft store or here 

Miniature Christmas tree ornaments. Find them here 

1 bag of fake snow. Find them here

String, ribbon, or twine (to wrap around the lid)

Glue gun 

Scissors

Clear Plastic Ornaments 

Directions

1. Take apart the mason jar lid
2. Cut the ornament string off of the top of the miniature Christmas tree ornaments.
3. Create a snow globe scene! Hot glue different miniature tree ornaments on top of the lid
4. Add some fake snow on top.
5.  Dust off any extra snow on the very outside of the mason jar lid.
6. Open up a clear plastic ornament and glue so it is in 2 pieces. Glue around the 1 of the edges or glue the edge of the mason jar lid (either works!)
7. Place it on top of the mason jar! There is a small circle on the ornaments which is made to put string in and hang on a tree. You can either cut that part off with scissors or place it in the back of the jar, so it is hidden. 
8. (Optional) Glue fake snow on the rim outside the ornament for a little extra sparkle if you like!
9. Add whatever you want on the inside of your mason jar and tie a little string, ribbon, or twine around the lid to finish it off.

Glittery Tea Light Holder How-to

Materials
4 small bowls, for mixing glitter with glue
4 paintbrushes
Glitter in 4 different colors
Clear drying or glitter glue 
Four 2-ounce or 4-ounce Sun Basket recyclable screw-top plastic containers
4 battery-powered flameless tea lights

1. In a small bowl, using a paintbrush, mix 1 teaspoon glitter with 1 tablespoon glue. Depending on the size of the glitter, you may want to add up to 2 teaspoons glitter to the glue to make it more sparkly.

2. Using the paintbrush, apply the glitter glue to the outside of one of the recyclable plastic containers from just below the rim to the base. Let dry.

3. When dry, paint another layer of glitter glue on the container. You can paint the whole thing, rim to base, as you did before, or just the bottom half to create an ombré look.

4. Repeat with the rest of your containers and glitter, using a different color glitter for each container.

5. When they glitter on all the containers is dry, turn on the tea lights and put 1 tea light inside each container.

Materials
Assortment of flat dry leaves
Felt-tip pens and markers
Glue
Googly eyes, optional
Tiny pom-poms, optional
Card stock 

1 Decorate the leaves
Place your leaf on a flat surface. Use felt-tip pens or markers to draw your creature. Let the shape of the leaf inspire you or try one of the suggestions below:

• To make a hedgehog, draw the fur on half of the leaf and then draw curled legs on the other half, under its belly. Add a red dot or pom-pom for the nose, draw or glue on a an eye, and don’t forget to add a smiling mouth!
• To make a mouse, draw the face, ears, and eyes, or glue on googly eyes. The stem of the leaf can be the mouse’s tail. (If your mouse is tailless, simply draw a tail on the card stock in step 2.)
• To make the owl, first draw the wings and the beak, then draw on or glue on the eyes.

2 Display the leaf creatures
Glue the leaf creatures to card stock and hang on the wall, or fold into a greeting card with the leaf creatures on the cover.

Materials 
1 sheet construction paper, (9-by-12 inches)
Scissors
Glue stick
1 piece thin cardboard (from a notepad or cereal box), cut into 3-by-5 inch squares
Additional sheets of construction paper in a variety of colors, optional
Markers or colored pencils, optional

1. Make the accordion pages
With the long side of the construction paper facing you, fold the paper in half from top to bottom, make a sharp crease, and then unfold. Next, fold the right and left sides of the paper toward the center so their edges meet. Now fold the paper in half from top to bottom again and then in half from left to right. When you unfold the paper there should be eight rectangles. 

With the short side facing you, cut vertically up the center fold until just before you reach the last two rectangles. Then fold the two rectangles together along the center crease to make the long accordion shape. Glue those two rectangles together.

2. Attach the covers 
To put a cover on your book, glue a cardboard rectangle to each end of the accordion.

3. Design the book
Use the additional construction paper to make shapes that will fit on each page and glue them to each panel. Alternatively, draw or write on each panel. 

4. Decorate the cover
Using construction paper, decorate with letter cut-outs to give the accordion book a title. Alternatively, use colored pencils or markers to decorate the cover and give your accordion book a title.

Materials 
Cardboard from your Sun Basket Box
Scissors
Acrylic paint, white plus at least two other colors 
Paint brushes
Glue, optional 

1. Prepare the cardboard
Cut the inside flaps off your Sun Basket box. Apply a base coat of white paint to the cardboard and let dry while you choose the colors you’d like use for your tiles.

2. Paint the tiles
Cut the painted cardboard pieces in half. Paint each piece any color you like (over the white primer) and let dry. 

3. Make the tiles
Cut the cardboard pieces into strips and then cut the strips into tiles, don’t worry about the tiles being exactly the same size. Separate the tiles into color-coordinated piles. 

4. Choose a tile design
Arrange the tiles in fun patterns. You can always trim the individual tiles as needed to make cleaner lines. Keep the tiles loose and change the design whenever you’d like, or glue your designs to a cardboard sheet.
