Do we need to mess with perfection? Nah. So here’s our classic beef shepherd’s pie, a favorite comfort food in the U.S. and England (called cottage pie there). Enjoy savory, saucy ground beef with peas and carrots, all topped with creamy mashed potatoes.

Microwave: Peel back a corner of the plastic and cook in the tray 4–5 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F*.
Oven: Remove plastic, cover tray with foil, and bake at 425°F, 20–25 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F*.
