All items are pre-made and can each be used to season enough food for 6-8 people.

Summer Grilling Kit

Sun Basket Chipotle Barbacoa Glaze

Paleo, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Dairy Free

Our tomato-based barbacoa gets a subtle, smoky heat from chipotle chiles and a tangy bite of apple cider vinegar. Brush it on meat as it cooks, or use it as a marinade or dipping sauce.

Try it with:
  • Chicken wings
  • Brisket or flank steak
  • Pork chops
  • Lamb
  • On a burger instead of ketchup
  • Portobello mushrooms

Yields 2 Cups / Enough glaze for 2 to 3 pounds of meat.

Sun Basket Romesco

In the Catalan region of Spain, where this earthy sauce has its roots, romesco is often served with grilled vegetables and fish.

Serve it as a dip or spread with:

  • Bruschetta toasts

Yields 2 Cups / Serves 8 to 12 as a dip.

Sun Basket Mojo Marinade

Paleo, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Soy Free

This citrusy marinade hails from Cuba, where it seasons a classic pork dish called lechon asado. It also makes a wonderful marinade for shrimp, fish, even beef.

Try it as a marinade for:
  • Shrimp
  • Rockfish
  • Swordfish
  • Chicken
  • Pork

Yields 2 Cups / Enough marinade for up to 6 pounds shrimp or fish, or boneless pork or other meat.
Keep refrigerated. Shake well before using.

Ingredients
(orange juice - lime juice - olive oil - fresh onions - Aleppo chile flakes - salt - fresh garlic - dried oregano - ground cumin)

Pitmasters in Memphis don't mess around with sauces. They favor dry rubs like this full-flavored mix. Rub this into pork ribs or brisket the night before grilling, and set some aside to sprinkle on the meat at the end of cooking.

Store at room temperature. If the mixture begins to clump, grind it in a food processor or blender.
