Cook the tempeh
- Crumble or cut into bite-sized pieces or thinly slice.
In a medium frying pan or sauce pot, combine the tempeh and 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Cover and cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, until softened, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain and pat dry. Season with your favorite seasoning or marinade. Pan fry in 1 to 2 teaspoons oil until golden or simmer with your favorite sauce.
