Cook your burger
Stovetop
- Pat the patties dry with a paper towel. Season generously with salt and pepper.
In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, warm 1 to 2 tablespoons oil until hot but not smoking. Add the patties and cook, turning once, until browned and cooked to desired doneness, 2 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. If you have a meat thermometer, the burgers should reach an internal temperature of 160°F when ready. Let rest 1–2 minutes before serving.
Grill

Set the patties on the grill directly over the heat and cook, turning once, until lightly browned and cooked to the desired doneness, 2 to 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. If you have a meat thermometer, the burgers should reach an internal temperature of 160°F when ready. Let rest 1–2 minutes before serving.
